Selecting Casares For Your Future Annual Break Away

What with the financial weather consumers are hunting for a great holiday at affordable prices. Being only two and a half hours away from the United Kingdom, Spain has the edge. We recommend holidaying in Andalucia and in particular in the area known as the Costa Del Sol.

The Costa Del Sol also known since the Costa Del Golf due to the abundance of golf courses. The Costa Del Sol is various 154 km long and stretches from 54 km to the east of Malaga to the Cadiz province in the west. weather wise the region has an average of 11-12 hours of sunshine in the summer with the average temperature being 31-33 degrees centigrade with little or no rainfall.

We recommend holidaying at Casares del Sol a newly built apartment complex plainly 25 minutes from Gibraltar International Airport with Malaga Airport being just one hour away. The complex is set in a green belt of land having the 18 hole Finca Cortesin Golf Club right next door and the 9 hole Casares Golf right across the road. Finca Cortesin is the venue chosen for the Volvo World Match Play competition Oct 29th to Nov 1st 2009.

The complex is designed as tiny communities and at the heart of which each has its swimming pool. Additionally most also have children’s pools. The apartments have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. And sleep 4 to 6 persons.

The complex is merely 1 minute by car from the sea or a gentle 10 minute stroll. There is a taxi rank at the bottom of the hill if you do not wish to walk back! There is a beautiful beach bar on the beach, Chiringuto Beach Bar and a further La Perla basically a little further. Both have wonderful cuisine. Next to La Perla is a historical salt tower. There are attractive cacttii around it and together with bench seats make an idyllic place for panoramic photographs.

For a larger selection of restaurants visit Puerto Duquesa plainly 5 minutes from Casares del Sol. Duquesa is a minor port with a cosmopolitan feel. Here you will get restaurants serving everything from Spanish, Chinese, Mexican to Italian. Sit in the pavement café’s and watch the world go buy. There is a nightclub in the port for the more adventurous.

Duquesa Marina is a working port and is used by both pleasure craft and the local fishermen, who might be seen landing their catch most days. For those of you who want to take to the water there are a number of options to be had in the way of boat rides, dolphin spotting, fishing trips, etc., along with a fully RYA qualified sea school providing courses for both sailing and motor vessels.

Apart from the hostelries there are number of shops, boutiques, jewellers, etc. since well because a gym, hairdressers, bank, estate agents and leisure activity providers, making Puerto de la Duquesa a village in its own right.
